The short version

There is no account and no login, and the site does not ask for your email. Your birth details are used to work out the answer and are not saved on the server. Google Analytics counts visits. The rest is below.

Your birth details

When you ask for a kundli or use a calculator, the name, date, time and place you type go to the calculation server. It works out the answer and sends it back. They are not written to a file or a database.

The birth details also sit in the page's address, so that you can save or share the link. Anyone you send the link to can see them, and so can Google Analytics, which records page addresses. See the Google Analytics section.

Cookies

Four, each with one job. The city you chose, so every page shows your city's timings without asking again. A note that the site has asked once to use your location, so it does not ask again. Your light or dark choice, only if you change it. And a token that lives for one minute while a PDF downloads.

The site sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies, described below.

Saved on your phone

Some things are saved in your browser only and are not sent to the server: your jaap counts and sankalp, your paath counts and the name a paath is kept in, the script and text size you chose, and the theme. If you clear your browser data they are gone, and the site cannot bring them back.

Your location

If you allow it, your browser sends your position to the site once, to find the nearest city in the list. Only that city's name is kept, in the cookie above. If you say no, you pick the city yourself and everything works the same.

Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google sets its own cookies and receives your IP address and the address of each page you open. On a kundli or calculator page, that address includes the birth details you typed.

If you block analytics in your browser, the site works the same.

What the server keeps

Two counts, with nothing on them that points to you. Whether a page was marked useful or not, kept as the page and the answer. And each mala completed on the naam jaap page, kept as a number and a time.

And the questions Maya, the chat on every page, could not answer — kept as the words typed, the page they were typed on and a time, with nothing that points to you.

If this changes

The date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list, so there is no other notice.
