What tarot is here
Seventy-eight cards, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith in 1909 for A. E. Waite. The meanings on these pages come from Waite's own book, The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, quoted with its page, and beside each quote a plain line written for a reader in India. Tarot is not astrology and has nothing to do with your kundli; it lives here because people ask for it, and we would rather do it honestly than not at all.
Card art: Pamela Colman Smith, 1909, for A. E. Waite. Public domain.
Is a tarot reading a prediction?
No. The cards are shuffled from a random seed, so nothing about you decides which come up. A reading is a set of pictures and meanings to think with. We say this on every reading and we keep no score on tarot, unlike the kundli forecasts, which we do score.
Where do the meanings come from?
From A. E. Waite's The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, published in 1911 with the deck. Every card page quotes his upright and reversed lines with the page number, and adds a plain line written for readers here.
What do reversed cards mean?
A card that lands upside down is read by the reversed meaning Waite wrote for it. Some readers do not use reversals at all; you can switch them off before you draw.
Does tarot connect to my kundli?
No. Tarot has no planets, no birth time and no calculation. It is a separate tradition and we keep it separate.
