What is kept
The ekadashi before Devshayani. Its katha is of Hemamali, a gardener of Kuber who was cursed for neglecting his duty and freed by keeping this fast. Like every ekadashi it is kept for Lord Vishnu: no rice or grains, and the fast is broken the next day, on Dwadashi, at the parana time given on this page.
