What is kept
The day Lord Vishnu, asleep for Chaturmas, turns onto his other side, which is why it is called Parivartini or Parsva Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu's Vamana avatar is also worshipped today. It falls during Ganeshotsav. Like every ekadashi it is kept for Lord Vishnu: no rice or grains, and the fast is broken the next day, on Dwadashi, at the parana time given on this page.
