What is kept
The ekadashi right after Dussehra. Papankusha means the one that holds back sins, the way an ankush holds back an elephant. People worship Lord Vishnu in his Padmanabh form and give daan. Like every ekadashi it is kept for Lord Vishnu: no rice or grains, and the fast is broken the next day, on Dwadashi, at the parana time given on this page.
