What is kept
The ekadashi of the dark half of Bhadrapada. Its katha is of King Harishchandra, who lost his kingdom and family for the sake of truth, and got them back after keeping this fast. Like every ekadashi it is kept for Lord Vishnu: no rice or grains, and the fast is broken the next day, on Dwadashi, at the parana time given on this page.
