ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान, जय हो दिनकर भगवान।जगत् के नेत्रस्वरूपा, तुम हो त्रिगुण स्वरूपा।धरत सब ही तव ध्यान, ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna, jaya ho dinakara bhagavāna,jagat ke netrasvarūpā, tuma ho triguṇa svarūpā,dharata saba hī tava dhyāna, oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

सूर्य भगवान की जय, दिनकर की जय — आप जगत के नेत्र हैं, त्रिगुण स्वरूप हैं; सब आपका ध्यान धरते हैं।

Victory to Surya, victory to the day-maker — you are the eye of the world, the form of the three gunas; all hold you in their meditation.

सारथी अरुण हैं प्रभु तुम, श्वेत कमलधारी। तुम चार भुजाधारी॥अश्व हैं सात तुम्हारे, कोटि किरण पसारे। तुम हो देव महान॥ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

sārathī aruṇa haiṁ prabhu tuma, śveta kamaladhārī, tuma cāra bhujādhārī,aśva haiṁ sāta tumhāre, koṭi kiraṇa pasāre, tuma ho deva mahāna,oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

सारथी अरुण हैं, हाथ में श्वेत कमल है, चार भुजाएँ हैं — सात अश्व रथ खींचते हैं और करोड़ों किरणें फैली हैं। आप महान देव हैं।

Aruna is his charioteer, a white lotus in hand, four-armed — seven horses draw his chariot and crores of rays spread out. You are the great deva.

ऊषाकाल में जब तुम, उदयाचल आते। सब तब दर्शन पाते॥फैलाते उजियारा, जागता तब जग सारा। करे सब तब गुणगान॥ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

ūṣākāla meṁ jaba tuma, udayācala āte, saba taba darśana pāte,phailāte ujiyārā, jāgatā taba jaga sārā, kare saba taba guṇagāna,oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

भोर में जब आप उदयाचल पर आते हैं, सबको दर्शन मिलते हैं — उजाला फैलता है, सारा जग जागता है और सब गुण गाते हैं।

At dawn, when you rise over the eastern hill, all receive your darshan — light spreads, the whole world wakes, and everyone sings your praise.

संध्या में भुवनेश्वर अस्ताचल जाते। गोधन तब घर आते॥गोधूलि बेला में, हर घर हर आंगन में। हो तव महिमा गान॥ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

saṁdhyā meṁ bhuvaneśvara astācala jāte, godhana taba ghara āte,godhūli belā meṁ, hara ghara hara āṁgana meṁ, ho tava mahimā gāna,oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

संध्या को भुवनेश्वर अस्ताचल जाते हैं, गायें घर लौटती हैं — गोधूलि की बेला में हर घर, हर आँगन में आपकी महिमा गाई जाती है।

At dusk the lord of the worlds sets behind the western hill, the cattle come home — in the cow-dust hour your glory is sung in every house, every courtyard.

देव-दनुज नर-नारी, ऋषि-मुनिवर भजते। आदित्य हृदय जपते॥स्तोत्र ये मंगलकारी, इसकी है रचना न्यारी। दे नव जीवनदान॥ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

deva-danuja nara-nārī, ṛṣi-munivara bhajate, āditya hṛdaya japate,stotra ye maṁgalakārī, isakī hai racanā nyārī, de nava jīvanadāna,oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

देव, दानव, नर-नारी, ऋषि-मुनि सब आपको भजते हैं और आदित्य हृदय जपते हैं — वह मंगलकारी स्तोत्र है, उसकी रचना न्यारी है, वह नया जीवन देता है।

Devas, danavas, men and women, rishis and munis all worship you and recite the Aditya Hridaya — that auspicious stotra, singular in its making, gives new life.

तुम हो त्रिकाल रचयिता, तुम जग के आधार। महिमा तब अपरम्पार॥प्राणों का सिंचन करके भक्तों को अपने देते। बल, बुद्धि और ज्ञान॥ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

tuma ho trikāla racayitā, tuma jaga ke ādhāra, mahimā taba aparampāra,prāṇoṁ kā siṁcana karake bhaktoṁ ko apane dete, bala, buddhi aura jñāna,oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

आप तीनों कालों के रचयिता हैं, जग के आधार हैं — आपकी महिमा अपरम्पार है। प्राणों को सींचकर आप अपने भक्तों को बल, बुद्धि और ज्ञान देते हैं।

You are the maker of the three times, the support of the world — your glory has no far shore. Watering the very breath of life, you give your devotees strength, intellect and knowledge.

भूचर जलचर खेचर, सबके हों प्राण तुम्हीं। सब जीवों के प्राण तुम्हीं॥वेद-पुराण बखाने, धर्म सभी तुम्हें माने। तुम ही सर्वशक्तिमान॥ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

bhūcara jalacara khecara, sabake hoṁ prāṇa tumhīṁ, saba jīvoṁ ke prāṇa tumhīṁ,veda-purāṇa bakhāne, dharma sabhī tumheṁ māne, tuma hī sarvaśaktimāna,oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

धरती, जल और आकाश के जीव — सबके प्राण आप ही हैं। वेद-पुराण आपका बखान करते हैं, सभी धर्म आपको मानते हैं — आप ही सर्वशक्तिमान हैं।

Creatures of land, water and sky — you are the life-breath of them all. The Vedas and Puranas tell of you, every dharma honours you — you alone are all-powerful.

पूजन करतीं दिशाएं, पूजे दश दिक्पाल। तुम भुवनों के प्रतिपाल॥ऋतुएं तुम्हारी दासी, तुम शाश्वत अविनाशी। शुभकारी अंशुमान॥ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

pūjana karatīṁ diśāeṁ, pūje daśa dikpāla, tuma bhuvanoṁ ke pratipāla,ṛtueṁ tumhārī dāsī, tuma śāśvata avināśī, śubhakārī aṁśumāna,oṁ jaya sūrya bhagavāna.

दिशाएँ आपका पूजन करती हैं, दसों दिक्पाल पूजते हैं — आप भुवनों के प्रतिपालक हैं। ऋतुएँ आपकी दासी हैं; आप शाश्वत, अविनाशी, शुभकारी अंशुमान हैं।

The directions worship you, the ten guardians of the quarters bow — you keep the worlds. The seasons are your handmaidens; you are the eternal, imperishable, benevolent rayed one.
