What is kept
The ekadashi a few days before Diwali. It is named after Maa Lakshmi, whose other name is Rama, so Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi are worshipped together. Like every ekadashi it is kept for Lord Vishnu: no rice or grains, and the fast is broken the next day, on Dwadashi, at the parana time given on this page.
