नवग्रह स्तोत्र

जपाकुसुमसङ्काशं काश्यपेयं महाद्युतिम् ।तमोऽरिं सर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोऽस्मि दिवाकरम् ॥

japākusumasaṅkāśaṁ kāśyapeyaṁ mahādyutim,tamo'riṁ sarvapāpaghnaṁ praṇato'smi divākaram.

जपा-कुसुम के समान लाल, कश्यप के वंशज, महान कांति वाले — अंधकार के शत्रु, सब पापों के नाशक दिवाकर को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

Red as the hibiscus flower, of Kashyapa's line, of great radiance — foe of darkness, destroyer of all sins: I bow to the day-maker.

दधिशङ्खतुषाराभं क्षीरोदार्णवसम्भवम् ।नमामि शशिनं सोमं शम्भोर्मुकुटभूषणम् ॥

dadhiśaṅkhatuṣārābhaṁ kṣīrodārṇavasambhavam,namāmi śaśinaṁ somaṁ śambhormukuṭabhūṣaṇam.

दही, शंख और हिम की-सी आभा वाले, क्षीरसागर से उत्पन्न, शिव के मुकुट के आभूषण — शशि सोम को मैं नमन करता हूँ।

Gleaming like curd, conch and frost, born of the milk ocean, the ornament on Shiva's crown — I bow to the Moon, Soma.

धरणीगर्भसम्भूतं विद्युत्कान्तिसमप्रभम् ।कुमारं शक्तिहस्तं तं मङ्गलं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥

dharaṇīgarbhasambhūtaṁ vidyutkāntisamaprabham,kumāraṁ śaktihastaṁ taṁ maṅgalaṁ praṇamāmyaham.

धरती के गर्भ से जन्मे, बिजली की-सी कांति वाले, हाथ में शक्ति लिए कुमार — उन मंगल को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

Born from the womb of the Earth, bright as lightning, the youth with the shakti lance in hand — I bow to Mangala.

प्रियङ्गुकलिकाश्यामं रूपेणाप्रतिमं बुधम् ।सौम्यं सौम्यगुणोपेतं तं बुधं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥

priyaṅgukalikāśyāmaṁ rūpeṇāpratimaṁ budham,saumyaṁ saumyaguṇopetaṁ taṁ budhaṁ praṇamāmyaham.

प्रियंगु की कली-से श्याम, रूप में अनुपम, सौम्य और सौम्य गुणों से युक्त — उन बुध को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

Dark as the priyangu bud, matchless in form, gentle and endowed with gentle virtues — I bow to Budha.

देवानां च ऋषीणां च गुरुं काञ्चनसन्निभम् ।बुद्धिभूतं त्रिलोकेशं तं नमामि बृहस्पतिम् ॥

devānāṁ ca ṛṣīṇāṁ ca guruṁ kāñcanasannibham,buddhibhūtaṁ trilokeśaṁ taṁ namāmi bṛhaspatim.

देवताओं और ऋषियों के गुरु, तपे सोने की-सी आभा वाले, बुद्धि के स्वरूप, तीनों लोकों के स्वामी — बृहस्पति को मैं नमन करता हूँ।

Teacher of devas and rishis, glowing like refined gold, wisdom itself, lord of the three worlds — I bow to Brihaspati.

हिमकुन्दमृणालाभं दैत्यानां परमं गुरुम् ।सर्वशास्त्रप्रवक्तारं भार्गवं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥

himakundamṛṇālābhaṁ daityānāṁ paramaṁ gurum,sarvaśāstrapravaktāraṁ bhārgavaṁ praṇamāmyaham.

हिम, कुंद और मृणाल की-सी आभा वाले, दैत्यों के परम गुरु, सब शास्त्रों के प्रवक्ता — भार्गव शुक्र को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

Pale as frost, jasmine and lotus-stem, supreme teacher of the daityas, expounder of every shastra — I bow to Shukra of Bhrigu's line.

नीलाञ्जनसमाभासं रविपुत्रं यमाग्रजम् ।छायामार्तण्डसम्भूतं तं नमामि शनैश्चरम् ॥

nīlāñjanasamābhāsaṁ raviputraṁ yamāgrajam,chāyāmārtaṇḍasambhūtaṁ taṁ namāmi śanaiścaram.

नीले अंजन की-सी आभा वाले, रवि के पुत्र, यम के बड़े भाई, छाया और मार्तण्ड से जन्मे — शनैश्चर को मैं नमन करता हूँ।

Dark as blue collyrium, son of the Sun, elder brother of Yama, born of Chhaya and Martanda — I bow to the slow-mover, Shani.

अर्धकायं महावीर्यं चन्द्रादित्यविमर्दनम् ।सिंहिकागर्भसम्भूतं तं राहुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥

ardhakāyaṁ mahāvīryaṁ candrādityavimardanam,siṁhikāgarbhasambhūtaṁ taṁ rāhuṁ praṇamāmyaham.

आधे शरीर वाले, महान वीर्य वाले, चन्द्र और सूर्य का मर्दन करने वाले, सिंहिका के गर्भ से जन्मे — उन राहु को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

Half-bodied, of great might, who grinds down the Moon and the Sun, born of Simhika's womb — I bow to Rahu.

पलाशपुष्पसङ्काशं तारकाग्रहमस्तकम् ।रौद्रं रौद्रात्मकं घोरं तं केतुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥

palāśapuṣpasaṅkāśaṁ tārakāgrahamastakam,raudraṁ raudrātmakaṁ ghoraṁ taṁ ketuṁ praṇamāmyaham.

पलाश के फूल-से लाल, तारकाओं और ग्रहों के शिरोमणि, रौद्र, रौद्र स्वभाव वाले, घोर — उन केतु को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

Red as the palasha flower, crest of the stars and grahas, fierce, fierce-natured, awesome — I bow to Ketu.
